About Me
Welcome to my website! I just wanted to give you a little bit of info about me so that you can get to know me better. I am from Niskayuna, New York, which is near Albany. I began studying French when I was eleven years old and absolutely loved it. I love learning languages and have studied French, German, Latin, and Ancient Greek. The thing I love most about learning languages is the ability to learn about other cultures and meet new people. I am incredibly passionate about history and traveling, and I feel like learning new languages has given me opportunities that I never would have had, had I not studied languages. My goal is to continue traveling and learning new languages in the process so that I can really delve into the history and experiences of cultures around the world.
I did my undergraduate at Colgate University, in Hamilton, New York, where I majored in Classical Studies with a focus in Ancient Greek and minored in French. While at Colgate, I did three study abroad trips. During my first year, I did a alternative spring break trip to Martinique. During my sophomore year, I traveled with my Greek class to Greece and spent three weeks there studying. My junior year I spent my spring semester abroad in Dijon, France. I learned so much during my time abroad and hope to lead trips abroad in the future, giving students the same wonderful opportunities I had to practice the language.
